the future of college counseling

starts here.

scaled for non-profit organizations and direct services.

When students attend colleges that meet their academic, financial, and social needs, they are in a position to engage with careers that help them thrive. While there are thousands of colleges that meet students’ needs, underserved students do not receive the college counseling support that would ensure good matches. This isn’t for lack of good intentions; rather, students encounter hurdles due to systemic failures.

Navega provides college counseling at scale with the goal of graduating students on-time, with their financial needs met. Because we work with Bridge to College, we can do this at scale.

Getting into college is easy. Getting out with financial needs met is a different story. Learn how we do it and work with us.

College Counseling.

Navega provides custom college counseling that benefits under-resourced students.

We consider under-resourced students to be students who do not receive the tools and/or knowledge that would lead to timely graduation with funding. This can be students of color, low-income students, first generation students, LGBTQ+ students, and female and non-binary students interested in STEM. At some point in a student’s career, they must use their financial, social, and human capital in order to access college. Based on research, we know that under-resourced students encounter some type of hurdle that inhibits their ability to access this capital.

Our role is to remove the hurdle.

High Schools and Non-Profits.

High schools and non-profit organizations have lots of critical priorities. Some of these priorities get in the way of accessible college counseling: ensuring students are admitted to colleges that will support timely, funded graduation.

Navega Powered by truth bridge can support organizations of any size by providing data analytics, college counseling, and recommendations that lead to sustainable and meaningful college graduation for your students.

Powered by truth bridge.

Truth Bridge is a software company that uses machine learning and critical race theory to match students to colleges that are a financial, social, and academic fit. Students receive their matches and can communicate with colleges on the platform. The algorithms adapt to changing needs and provide recommendations for students to change their matches. Because students can begin using the platform as early as 7th grade, they are motivated to pursue college experiences that support their passions.

Some students find that they need additional services. This is where Navega comes in.

“I didn’t know college was possible for me. I really didn’t know that I would get so much money to go.”

We don’t give out scholarships.

We help you apply to colleges that do—and that want you enough to make it affordable.

If a college admits you but expects you to cover a $400,000 bill on your own… they didn’t really admit you.

We make sure you apply to the right schools from the start.

 FAQs

  • We are not a scholarship provider. Instead, we match you to colleges that will fund you. This is what we mean by financial fit.

  • We charge significantly less than our competitors, in most cases about 10% of their fees. We also offer free spaces. And if you are coming to us from your high school or a non-profit organization, the fee may also be free.

  • We are open to working with any underserved students and we use a very broad definition of underserved. In order to do this efficiently though, we stick to our strategy that includes applying to matched schools and other pieces. This means that if you have a specific college in mind or would like to work with someone to implement a personal strategy, we will likely not be a good fit.

  • In over ten years, we are still at 100% placement and funding to matched colleges.
